I am directed to refer to your letter No. DG/MDA/GT/06/07/002 dated 03.7.2006 on the above subject and convey the intention of Government of India to permit you to acquire the resource specific vessels,

  1. This letter of intent is subject to the conditions stipulated in the Department's guidelines for operation of Indian owned deep sea fishing vessels in November, 2002 and amended from time to time and conditions stipulated at Annexure.

  2. This letter of intent is valid for a period of six months from the date of issue, before the expiry of which you shall indicate compliance with the conditions of this letter otherwise the letter will be cancelled / withdrawn.

  3. Receipt of this letter may be acknowledged and your willingness or otherwise to abide by the terms and conditions of this letter may be conveyed to this Ministry by registered post not later than one month from the date of issue of this letter.
